Learning through experience
KKNS provides opportunities for learning through "experience" via games and playing in the field. Actually experiencing things first-handedly is vastly different from conceptual learning in the classroom.
Various programs focusing on environmental problems, wild animals, water resources, science, and human relations are available. Our various programs are also available for events and people outside of KKNS. Please contact us for more information.

GEMS
GEMS (Great Explorations in Math and Science) is based on a curriculum inclusive of math and science. It was developed at the Lawrence Hall of Science in the University of California, Berkeley, over the last 20 years. The foundation of GEMS is the experience-learning theory that awakens the curiosity of the students, encourages inquiry, ensures that there is "one more answer", provides opportunities to experience, puts value on cooperation, encourages discussion, and motivates participants to "apply the findings to their lives".

Project WILD, which is meant for all ages, aims to develop the participants' knowledge, skills, willingness to participate, and commitment. This will hopefully encourage the participants to take constructive action toward the solution of environmental problems.
Project Learning Tree (PLT)
PLT began in the US in 1976, in the hope of increasing people's understanding of forest resources and management. It also aimed to produce people who could apply their knowledge and skills for the betterment of society. PLT values learning through experience and inspires participants to learn from each other.
